Gail Nathan
Nathan’s work is included in numerous public and private collections including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Currently Gail is Executive Director of the Bronx River Art Center where she is an outspoken and successful advocate for the value of the arts in privilege deprived urban communities.
As a painter, Nathan received a 1995 Individual Support Grant from the Adolph and Ester Gottlieb Foundation and a 1987 Virginia Museum Professional fellowship.

celebrates Nathan’s absorption of the Lexington landscape during an all summer residency awarded by the Mid Atlantic States Arts Consortium.
For more than a decade Nathan traveled as an artist in residence to prestigious colleges and universities throughout the US and Europe. She made grand narrative paintings about her experiences in that life.
